Godfrey said: “I have been travelling full-time preaching the gospel since March 1998.

“Before I went on the road I worked as a press photographer. I enjoyed my job very much, but what I do now gives me an enormous sense of joy and happiness.”

He has four children and has recently become a granddad for the seventh time.

Godfrey has released 16 live CDs and two studio CDs – plus a bonus DVD with the R U Ready? album. His songs include Outrageous Grace, Are You Ready? and Just One Touch From The King, which was voted the CBC Praise and Worship Song of the Year in 2008.

One of Godfrey’s primary musical influences is The Kinks’ Ray Davies.
