Get on your bike and lap up ale

Fans of real ale can get on their bikes and make for one of Britain’s biggest beer festivals in the North West next week.

The Manchester Beer and Cider Festival, organised by the Greater Manchester Branches of the Campaign For Real Ale (CAMRA)will take place in the city’s stunning Velodrome at the National Cycling Centre.

The festival will feature more than 500 beers, ciders and perries. There will be four main bars serving cask conditioned craft beers from some of the very best breweries in the UK.

These will be supplemented by 10 exceptional breweries who will bring their very own brewery bars to the festival.

The Real Ale In A Bottle Bar will offer a massive range of bottled beers for you to drink at the festival or take home. Two bars will serve traditional cider & perry.

The Bière Sans Frontières bar will feature fine beers from Germany, Belgium & The Netherlands, both draft and bottled.

A second foreign beers bar on the concourse level will offer craft beers from the rest of the world – including the USA, Czech Republic, Italy & Spain.

Tickets are still available for every day of the festival which begins on Wednesday, January 21, from 4pm until 10.30pm.

An early start the following day, from noon until 10.30pm, and these are the same hours on the Friday. On the final day, Saturday, the festival will run from noon until 7pm.
