Love Island 2022: Preston’s Jamie Allen has his football career put to the test

Having made it past his first public vote, the 27 year old Halifax Town footballer remains in a couple with dancer Danica Taylor, with the pair now being free to explore their connection for a little longer.

In the first scene of last night’s episode, Jamie said he was “buzzing obviously, getting saved by the public...obviously means something doesn’t it?”

As the episode continued however, Jamie’s football career was flung into the spotlight, as attention was drawn to life outside the villa, and what skills the islander’s had to bring to the table.

In one clip, Danice questioned Jamie on the lifestyle of footballers- is he a player in more ways than one?

Jamie responded: “I’m 27 now I’ve got all that out my system. I feel like your energy and stuff, you’d keep me on my toes, it’s definitely something that I need.”

Later on, Jamie’s football career was tested in a very different way, as the famous Love Island talent show returned.

Performing a round of keepie-uppies before scoring a goal, Jamie seemed to impress his giggling partner, but not all the islanders…

Danica said: “Oh baby get me a sexy footballer any day of the week, seeing him in that kit I was like …”

Meanwhile Love Island veteran Adam Collard said: “Jamie’s football skills were fantastic although I do feel I could’ve potentially done it.”
