LA1 Shorts (12A) is an opportunity to celebrate some of the excellent independent film being made locally. They include a love story set in Morecambe Bay, surreal animations and gripping dramas.

The screening will be followed by a Question and Answer session with the filmmakers themselves and the chance to stay for a drink, network and perhaps even be inspired to take up filmmaking yourself.

Just before LA1 Shorts, audiences can also enjoy BAFTA Shorts (15) with a chance to catch several of this year’s nominated short films on the big screen including the winners, Operator and Edmond.
