Fame’s gonna last forever, well Saturday...

A new 25th anniversary production of Fame, the musical that ‘lives forever’, brings its star-struck wannabes dancing into Salford’s Lowry arts centre next week.

Based on the Oscar-winning film, Fame – The Musical is directed and choreographed by the award-winning Gary Lloyd, whose theatre credits include director and choreographer for Thriller Live! and 20th Century Boy, The Story of Marc Bolan.

Based in the world-famous High School for Performing Arts New York, Fame – The Musical stars Jodie Steele, whose credits include Mimi in Rent at the Tabard and Ikette in Tina Turner Experience in Holland, as Carmen Diaz.

The role of Schlomo Metzenbaum is played by Harry Blumenau.

Bolton dancer Hannah Wilson, is part of the ensemble.

Bursting with dance routines and unforgettable songs, including Play a Love Scene and Fame, the show has enjoyed seven West End runs since premiering in the USA in 1988.

It runs here from Tuesday to Saturday.
