Espect a Hue and Cry as the boys roll back time

Hue and Cry bring their 80s pop sensibilities to Preston’s 53 Degrees on Friday, May 30.

Brothers Pat and Greg Kane will be taking to the stage to perform a 25th anniversary stripped (piano and vocal) version of their seminal album Remote.

The tour also supports the release of Remote: Major to Minor a multi-media celebration of the original album and comes as a stunning limited edition, 48-page book containing three CDs and a DVD.

Hue and Cry had top 10 hits in the 80s with songs such as Labour of Love, Violently and Looking for Linda.

The album Remote sold more than 300,000 copies on its release in 1989 and the siblings have continued to tour and release albums to critical acclaim ever since.

Hue and Cry’s award winning style of intellectual, yet appealing pop songs, fused with their unique brand of soulfulness gave rise to their continued success as the band advanced ‘full-steam-ahead’ into the nineties, releasing acclaimed work which includes the chart-storming Top 10 album ‘Stars Crash Down’.

In 2013 Hue and Cry joined forces with Go West and The Christians as part of a spectacular, one off UK tour.

Hue and Cry have also performed alongside some of the most prolific names in the business including U2, James Brown, Van Morrison, Madonna and Al Green.
