The brilliantly decorated third floor balcony, which is the highest point of the building and cannot be seen without a guide for safety reasons, will be shown off in the museum’s first ever virtual reality tour.

Aimed at adults unable to climb the stairs, Harris volunteer Bernadette will bring the Egyptian Balcony to visitors without having to get up from their chairs, showing the magnificent paintings with scenes of the pyramids, the Nile and the some of the many famous Egyptian gods and goddesses.

The virtual tour is free and takes place from 1pm to 2pm but places are limited so book on 01772 905414 or email [email protected]
