Drumming masterclass at the Continental

UK session drummer Craig Blundell will be performing a masterclass at The Continental in Preston on Thursday, January 23.

Craig Blundell is one of the UK’s foremost session players, with incredible playing skill, a unique style and a jaw-dropping stage show.

Craig plays with a number of artists, most notably performing regularly with the Neo-Progressive Supergroup Frost and David Cross, from King Crimson.

Craig is also a very well respected educator and can be seen playing and lecturing at colleges, universities and drum camps on his experience in the industry and the power of self-motivation.

He is a regular contributor to magazines with a column in Drummer monthly.

Craig has branched out into writing and remixing for labels, companies, radio and media adverts under the name of Dr oKtopUs.

Most recently, Craig can be heard on all of the BBC Radio 2 jingles, as well as composing the theme tune for Channel Five’s The Gadget Show.

He is a master of musical technology, using samplers, effects and loopstations.
