Dodgy goings on in village

Hollow Horse events incredibly brought former Ultravox singer and the driving force behind Live Aid Midge Ure to Hurst Green Village Hall.

Now Carl Barrow, the man behind the impressive coup, is bringing two of the best live acts in the country to the county.

On Friday, March 28, Mercury Award nominated Ian McNabb will be performing favourite songs from when he was the frontman of the Icicle Works, as well as from his ongoing successful solo career.

Ian is returning to the Ribble Valley for the third year and loves the intimate feel of the village halls after being used to playing the bigger city centre venues.

Support will be provided by Baxter Rhodes.

Tickets: £10.

The following night brings the million-selling band Dodgy to the hall.

Carl says: “This is quite a coup for the area as they are only playing a handful of gigs throughout the country as they take time out to record their new album.

“With chart hits such as Good Enough and Staying Out For The Summer, this should be a gig that will have the audience singing along with the band.

“Dodgy are still made up of the original three members who have headlined festivals around the country including Glastonbury.

“A bonus for the evening is provided by The Ragamuffins, who are the support.”
