Now in its second year, the event attracted more than 1,000 people in 2013, and organisers are inviting everyone back for another celebration on Saturday August 9.

The playing fields at the Centre@Halton in Low Road will be the setting for the free daytime event (1am-6.30pm), featuring stalls, activities, food, hand crafted local ale and plenty more.

The festival also hosts an annual skate competition on one of the best skate parks in the region. open to BMX, scooter or skateboard. A £5 entry fee to compete for some great prizes.

The outdoor stage will host music from the Lancaster area from including sets from Hiroshima Twinkie, Charlie Galloway and The Intensely Staring Cats.

In the evening, the fun moves inside The Centre with music from Blockbuster Blues, Grinny Grandad, and Manchester reggae/rock/ska four piece Jeremiah Ferrari.

Entry to the night from 8pm £10. Tickets at The Greyhound Pub in Halton, Coffee Central at the Centre@Halton, and Go Burrito in Lancaster.
