Writer, academic and broadcaster David Crystal will visit Chorley next week.

Author of more than 100 books, he will be reflecting on the lost words featured in his latest book The Disappearing Dictionary.

He is an expert in linguistics and will ask where all the dialect words have gone.

David will be at Chorley Library, on Union Street, on Thursday, June 25.

Doors will open at 6.30pm for a 7pm start.

The event is being hosted by Ebb And Flo book shop.

Lancashire refreshments will be served on the night.

Tickets cost £5,redeemable against a copy of the book, which will be for sale at the event.
