Families are invited to a ‘Noble Knights and Powerful Princesses’ party at Clitheroe Castle this month.

Taking place on Tuesday, August 25 from 5-30 to 7-30 pm, the event is suitable for children aged between six and 10.

Rachel Jackson, museum manager at the castle, said: “There will be lots of activities to keep young ones entertained including a treasure hunt.

“Children can learn how to be a knight and even take a Knight School test and listen to our superb storyteller.

“There will be prizes for the best costumes for those who come along dressed up for the part.”

Tickets are £2.50 each for adults and children which includes a drink and snack for children from the café.

Limited disabled parking is available at the museum. Further parking on car parks in the town centre.
