The venue’s car park will be covered with a large marquee, creating a second beer hall with more than 150 different beers.

The organisers say: “This may well be one of the best and most popular so far.

“The North West’s finest rockabilly / punk act the Hyperjax headline the Saturday, and the two days also see sets from Preston soul/funk act Templebys, Glasgow psych rockers The Fast Camels, The Kausters, 1.21 Gigawatts, The Remedy, and more rockabilly from Doug Perkins and the Spectaculars.

“There’ll also be DJ sets from local groove collective The Funky Onion.

“Add to this some Morris dancers, an Open Mic session in the Snug on the Thursday night and a few other surprises and you have a Beer Festival like no other.”
