Classical Music goes to the Movies on Tuesday at 7.30pm and is a must for everyone who has ever ben to the cinema, heard a piece of music, and just not been able to place it...

Under the baton of legendary Hollywood conductor Richard Kaufman, the RLPO will treat the audience to a feast of big screen classics.

Among the featured pieces will be: Mozart’s Concerto for Clarinet in A Major K622, second movement (Out of Africa),excerpts from Bizet’s Carmen (Babe, Flashdance, Meet the Parents)

Hanson’s Symphony No.2, second movement (Alien)

Tchaikovsky’s Waltz from Sleeping Beauty (Sleeping Beauty, A.I.)

Strauss’s the opening of Also Sprach Zarathustra (2001: A Space Odyssey)

Elgar’s Pomp and Circumstance No.1, Op.39 (Austin Powers, A Clockwork Orange).
