City trips two-day light fantastic

A trail of discovery reveals the heritage, stories and hidden treasures of the city.

Sun Square, Market Square, The Storey, Judge’s Lodgings and Lancaster Castle will all be providing backdrops.

Light up the Skies throughout Saturday is the the run-up to the fireworks in the evening.

Activities include lantern making and rocket building workshops, guided city walks and tours around Lancaster Castle as well as a big stick adventure at Williamson Park.

At 8pm, the sky will come to life when the city’s annual firework display will be launched from the top of the castle.
