Cast adrift in the mind of MR James
Fans of the master ghost story author MR James will be haunting The Continental in Preston’s Broadgate next Thursday.
Renowned storyteller R M Lloyd Parry will tell two tales in the guise of the enigmatic James at the pub from 8pm.
More than a century since publication, James’ yarns still retain their power to terrify and amuse, and this gripping one man show takes the audience right into James fearful imagination.
In ‘Casting the Runes’ we meet the ‘Abbot of Lufford’ Mr Karswell – magic lanternist, historian of the occult, and scourge of academia.
