House music legend Pete Tong leads the line-up at Lancaster Castle this weekend as promoters A-Wing once again set out to shake the bars of the former nick.

Tong will take the reins on Sunday night, after High Contrast and Mark Knight have led the way on Friday and Sunday, as A-Wing marks its first birthday in grand style.

Until March 2011 parts of Lancaster Castle were still used as a category C prison, and it is in this very area that A-Wing have created one of the most original club spaces in Britain.

The intimate capacity, two floor venue has hosted seven A-Wing events so far.

Relatively untouched since the departure of the final inmate, a club experience unlike any you have experienced before awaits.

A spokesman for A-Wing said securing Tong for the birthday bash was a dream come true.

“Those Friday night shows on BBC R1 helped us become the people we are today, clubbers and worshippers of electronic music.

“A-Wing is a magical part of our lives, and however we look at it, that magic all started with one man.”

Equipped throughout with Funktion-1, A-Wing is more than your usual nightlife experience.

A small number of tickets are available for each night, starting at £25 plus booking fee, along with various group deals. See awing.skiddletickets.com/events.php
