Big Lunch comes to sheltered home

Abbeyfield House sheltered home, in Garstang, will be hosting a buffet style lunch for 40 people this Sunday from 12.30pm until 4pm as part of national charity drive, The Big Lunch.

Guests include residents’ friends and family and people on the waiting list to move into Abbeyfield. And invitations have also been sent to people staff know in the community who live alone.

And later in the afternoon, Abbeyfield hosts a garden party for the local community with afternoon tea, stalls, raffle and tombola. Manager Michelle Thompson “All our residents and their families have worked very hard on it with us and we are delighted by the response.”
