Be my Gest for soul legends

Television star and legendary producer David Gest will make his second tour of the UK this year by bringing an all-star line-up of seven American soul legends to The Auditorium at Echo Arena, Liverpool, on Sunday, October 19.

The line-up stars Russell Thompkins Jr. & The New Stylistics, The Temptations Review featuring Dennis Edwards, Sheila Ferguson, Billy Paul, Deniece Williams and Motown greats Kim Weston and Brenda Holloway, who have collectively sold more than 100 million records worldwide.

Russell Thompkins Jr. was the original lead vocalist on all the Stylistics top selling hits including ‘I Can’t Give You Anything (But My Love)’, ‘You Make Me Feel Brand New’, and ‘Betcha By Golly Wow’.

Dennis Edwards was the original Grammy-winning Temptations lead singer, whose lead vocals are featured on classic recordings such as ‘Papa Was A Rollin’ Stone’, ‘Ball Of Confusion’ and ‘Cloud 9’ .

Sheila Ferguson was the lead singer of The Three Degrees and, along with the other star names, makes a galaxy of chart legends.

Gest attained national prominence in the UK after his brilliant appearance on ITV1’s ‘I’m A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here!’ in 2006.

He said: “I am thoroughly excited about my upcoming tour of the UK and having seven true soul giants on stage. All artists on the bill are the original singers of their classic hits and the fans will be getting the real thing. This will be an amazing show!”
