The Art of Bach hits region
This month, Manchester’s Royal Northern College of Music will close its concert hall for a major £3m redevelopment.
So for the first time, the college’s Chamber Music Festival will take place at Manchester Cathedral, St Ann’s Church, and Chetham’s School of Music.
Entitled the Art of Bach, the 2014 Festival focuses on the music of Johann Sebastian Bach, and over three days, January 10-12, RNCM musicians, professional ensembles and special guests present an array of concerts dedicated to his work – all of them open to the public.
