The free Saving Modern Buildings Tour’ and Centenary Debate takes place from 5.15pm - 8pm in the city centre.

The listing of a building can be a controversial decision, fraught with tension and heartache. The issue is often compounded by a lack of understanding of the significance of modern buildings, both by potential developers and the public.

The evening begins with an informal walking tour of the recently Grade 2 listed Bus Station, led by Manchester Modernist Society, at Gate 3 of the Bus Station, followed by the debate at County Hall.

You can just join the debate if you are unable to make the tour. Places on the tour are limited, register at www.rtpi.org.uk.
