On Saturday, Prestonian glam rockers the Dragstrip Junkies, led by singer Johnny Rocker, top the bill with their high octane sleazy rock and roll on the Fylde Road pub’s stage.

They cite influences including Guns N Roses, Motley Crue, the Wildhearts and Backyard Babies.

Supporting them will be another Preston rock outfit, Super Mutant, who fuse hard rock and metal into a sound influenced by the likes of Megadeth, Alice in Chains, Black Sabbath, Thin Lizzy and Pantera.

Opening the night will be yet another local rock band, Kraul.

It’s business as usual at the Mad Ferret this week after the emotional departure of former owner Frazer Boon, who held a leaving do at the pub last Saturday.

Frazer was the man who created the Mad Ferret name and first brought live music to the venue. Doors open at 8pm and entry is free.
