It is the first worldwide 3D ballet screening ever. The production will be filmed and broadcast as it happens by James Cameron and Vince Pace, using the same 3D technology which recently won their Cameron Pace Group Oscars for Avatar and Life of Pi.

The performance, conducted by Valery Gergiev and starring principal ballerina Ekaterina Kondaurova, marks 275 years of Russian Ballet and over 280,000 tickets are expected to be sold. For more info, or to book tickets, see www.mariinskycinema.com
