Birmingham City vs Preston North End LIVE

53' First sub of the game

Jordan James makes way for Andre Dozzell.

Back under way for the second half at St Andrew's... no chances at the interval by Ryan Lowe or Gary Rowett.

HT: Birmingham City 0-0 PNE

The clear-cut chances have gone to the hosts, but PNE have had a couple of huge openings which they ought to have done better with. Huge second half to come...

44' Brady denied (0-0)

You can tell the number 11 is playing with confidence. He skips inside and shoots low, on his right foot, but Ruddy is equal to it and holds on well.

41' Skims the post (0-0)

Buchanan takes on the shot from 20 yards and fizzes it off the outside of Freddie Woodman's left hand post. Not far away to sneaking in.

41' Into the book (0-0)

Keane is cautioned for catching Ainu. PNE's striker was on the floor but went to swipe at the ball and caught the Blues man. There were shouts for a red card from the home fans.

39' Keane gets in (0-0)

Great work from PNE's number seven to work his way into the box, from the left. The touch to take him there allows Birmingham to clear, with half hearted appeals for a North End penalty ignored - as Keane hit the deck.

35' Glorious PNE chance (0-0)

Brady does brilliantly to get through and he rolls the ball across for Riis, who just takes too long and has the ball taken away from him - via the sliding challenge of Buchanan. PNE's number 11 is furious that hasn't resulted in a goal.

32' Chance for Mawene (0-0)

Holmes rolls the ball in from the right but Mawene scuffs his first time shot. He is really frustrated with himself, not to have connected better with that.

30' Final pass costs PNE (0-0)

Frokjaer will be kicking himself. Holmes worked it inside, from the right and Birmingham were cut well and truly open - with Riis involved too. But, Frokjaer's final pass through to Holmes is too heavy and goes behind. Brady was in acres of space, on the left of the box, had the ball just been helped on.
