Preston Pride 2022: what are the plans for the LQBTQ+ event, where will it be held and what time does it start

Preston Pride has been successfully running annual events in the city since 2012, this year's event marks the celebration’s tenth anniversary.
Each year, Preston Flag Market is filled with live music, appearances, and a variety of information stands and stalls, all of which are run and set up by a passionate volunteer committee that wants to promote cohesion and celebrate diversity within the city.

Hide AdThe event will be held on Preston’s Flag Market on Saturday, September 24 from 10.30am to 4pm and tickets are not required for Preston Pride as the celebration is a free event that is open to all.
The celebration held in the heart of Lancashire county also marks the 50-year anniversary since the first UK Pride, a national celebration to promote inclusivity and recognise diversity in our communities.
What is planned for this year’s Preston Pride?
With a varied lineup, the live music that can be expected to perform on the day includes: The Forensics, Retro City Orchestra, Smashby, Sing It Big and Kidz 4 Kidz Community Theatre Company. The weekend intends to encourage recognition, celebration and support of our LGBTQ+ communities.
Organisers of Preston pride event say they want to ‘promote a culture of inclusivity and all who wish to support and participate in these values are welcome to attend’. As the city centre expects to see a wave of flags and hear cheers from those who want to celebrate the LGBT and supporters community of Preston.
