A power cut in Ashton-on-Ribble has been narrowed down to one road.
Electricity North West said the problem was down to a local cable fault in Thistleton Road, and is expected to last until around 7.30pm.
It is not believed to be as widespread as initially feared.
A statement from the company says: “This fault is due to damage to our equipment. Our engineers are aware of the problem. As soon as a team becomes available they will attend site and start repairs.
“Our estimated time for restoration is 7:28pm today. If this changes as the job progresses we will keep you updated.
“We apologise for the inconvenience caused by the interruption to your supply and our engineers will work to restore your power as soon as possible.”
