Preston North End’s play-off hopes ended on Saturday as they were beaten 4-1 at Sheffield United.
Anel Ahmedhodžić put the Blades into the lead, who were promoted in midweek, with Liam Delap getting North End back on level terms.
The home side ran away with the game however, John Fleck, Iliman Ndiaye and Ali McBurnie all adding second half goals.
It means that Preston can no longer reach the top six, mathematically, after a poor day in Yorkshire.
Here’s how we rated the players on the day...

13. Liam Delap - 7
Chances have come at a premium for Liam Delap but he came on and made an impact in Sheffield. A powerful runner, he was willing to drive his side forward and prepared to scrap for the ball. A good position to tap home his first goal for the club. Photo: CameraSport - Rich Linley
Came on with 20 minutes to go and although he has energy about him he just could not get to the pace of the game or impact it. Was left chasing shadows as PNE became more open. Photo: CameraSport - Rich Linley
A great moment for a lifelong PNE fan. After a season spent struggling with a long term injury, Leigh gets his first team debut for his boyhood club, something no one will ever be able to take from him. Played a lovely ball out wide with the outside of his foot, too. Photo: CameraSport - Rich Linley
