PNE were unfortuante not to have won the game, having plenty of chances throughout but for the bodies of the Millers players being flung in front of the ball.
Here’s how we rated the North End players on the night...
5. Brad Potts - 8
Another excellent shift from the right wing back, showed an incredible engine in getting up and down and is always in the right place at the right time to make interceptions to prevent attacks. Nearly scored and his crossing delivery was good on the night too. Photo: CameraSport - Dave Howarth
6. Ryan Ledson - 7
Not quite the game for the combative midfielder as he was not really required to break up the game and disrupt Rotherham, such was PNE's dominance. Did not do much wrong just did not have the biggest impact on the game. Photo: CameraSport - Dave Howarth
7. Ben Whiteman - 7
Was more in the game than Ledson, as he was able to control the ball more from deep with PNE have much more of the possession. The onus was more on those further forward to make the difference however. Photo: CameraSport - Dave Howarth
8. Robbie Brady - 8
A class act on the night, his deliveries were dangerous and he was a threat all night. Linked up well with Troy Parrott in part thanks to his countyman's willingness to get in behind, paired with Brady's weight of pass. Photo: CameraSport - Dave Howarth
