Harris is Open for public art display

The Harris Museum and Art Gallery's annual celebration of local artistic talent is fast approaching.

During the Harris Open exhibition, three top floor galleries will display the diverse talents of Preston-based artists and makers of all ages and abilities.

This year, the Harris is inviting people to use an even wider range of art mediums and to showcase their talents in sculpture, ceramics, embroidery, painting, photography, textiles, installation and more.

All exhibitors also have the option to sell their work. Participants and visitors are being asked to make a voluntary donation to the Friends of the Harris who fund a wide range of the museum’s work, including supporting local artists.

The exhibition is open to all ages and disciplines provided you pay council tax to Preston City Council or live within a five mile radius of the Harris.

Winners will be announced during the preview of the exhibition on Friday, November 25 between 6pm and 6.30pm.
