Meat, vegetable, beer and pie producers all packed into The Great Barn at Hoghton Tower on Sunday for its monthly farmer’s market.
Despite the bad weather about 500 people turned out to stock up on their favourite food and drink or to try something new.
Hoghton Farmers’ Market has been running for 10 years and is one of the original markets in Lancashire.
It prides itself in celebrating fresh ingredients grown, reared and made locally.
Farmers and growers are joined by bakers, confectioners and craftsmen and women.
Hoghton Farmers’ Market takes place on the third Sunday of each month from 10am to 2pm.
The next market at the fortified manor house, which dates from about 1560–65, is on March 19.
