Fire crews were called to a fire in a flat above a shop in Tunbridge Street, Preston on Saturday night.
The incident, reported shortly before midnight, was dealt with by the crews from Preston Bamber Bridge and Penwortham, who used four breathing apparatus, one jet and two hose reels to extinguish the fire.
No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
