Mystery posters return to park
The issue has blighted Preston’s Moor Park for years, but the free love seemingly isn’t as plentiful as it once was, with “missing” posters put up around the green space.
Council staff had to tear them down from around the park, but they have since returned on the side of a building, in the shape of the word “missing!”
“It is totally bizarre”, said a council spokesman.

“We would be grateful for any information from anyone who knows who it is.”
As well as the posters, there is also a graffiti image of a child and a rat on the wall of a building.
The Grade II* listed park is part way through a multi-million pound makeover, including the creation of the skate park and improved drainage, but has now been covered in posters.

“To my knowledge it’s been going on about five years, it might have been going on longer than that.
“I think they are just trying to find locations and, to put it bluntly, they are trying to spice it up.
“We should be getting rid of the posters - they are offensive posters.
“How do you explain to an inquisitive child?”

Plans were lodged earlier this year to turn one of the two bowls pavilions in the park into a cafe as part of the project.
An application was also submitted to double the capacity of the park, as it bids to host more large-scale events.
