Lancashire Fire and Rescue say they were called to a vehicle fire on Cowling Lane at 18:50 yesterday evening (August 23).
A video captured by a member of the public shows the van engulfed in flames, before firefighters arrive to tackle the blaze.
One fire engine from Penwortham attended the incident, and firefighters used two hose reels to extinguish the fire.
Crews were in attendance for thirty minutes.
