Sock filled with snap bags of suspected cocaine found after Lancashire Police stop car in Chorley

Police acting on intelligence from the community stopped a Black Audi A6 in Stump Lane at around 1.50pm on Tuesday (June 28).
The car was stopped in Stump Lane, Chorley, where police proceeded to search the vehicle.

Hide AdA “sock containing snap bags of what is believed to be cocaine” was subsequently found by officers.
The driver, a 29-year-old man, was arrested at the scene on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a Class A drug.
He remained in custody for questioning on Wednesday afternoon (June 29).
Starting from June 13, police continued their efforts to make the county's roads safer as part of Operation Vanquish – a fortnight of action which targeted those who use the network for criminality.
Overall 526 traffic offence reports or fixed penalties were issued, with a further 706 notices of intended prosecution given.
