'˜Tech addict' Lancashire family give up smartphones for ITV
The Forrests must sacrifice phones, televisions, tablets and all of their other gadgets to see how they get on in a tech-obsessed era.
Mum and dad, Justine and Chris, both 45, their two daughters Alex, 19, and Millie, 18, and son Chris, 14, spent a week playing board games, doing jigsaws and actually talking to each other!

She said: “They made us throw all our technology in a bin, taped it up and put CCTV on it!
“It’s incredible how much you rely on it. E-mails for work, social media and phone for friends, you don’t realise how much you use it for. Not having anything has turned our lives upside down!”
The ITV crew moved in with the family at their Longridge address and filmed them as they went about their day-to-day life – finishing on January 18.

“There’s been board games and jigsaws and just doing days out as a family.”
And it seems to have had an impact on the Forrest household with Justine saying the family have made new rules for their tech.
“We don’t allow it at the table and we’re trying not to use it when we’re together,” she said. “We try and do things as a family too even if it is just watching a TV show together
“The show was good fun and we’ll be cringing when it’s on telly!”
The show, Addicted To Your Smartphone?, airs on Thursday, February 4 on ITV’s Tonight at 7.30pm.
