YELLOW WEATHER WARNING: Lancashire avoids the worst of overnight thunderstorms
A yellow weather warning for rain was issued by the Met Office for the whole of Lancashire.
And a spokesman for the Met Office said that some flooding of a few homes and businesses is "likely, leading to some damage to buildings or structures".

Hide AdThey added that there could "possibly [be] some damage to a few buildings and structures from lightning strikes with some short term loss of power and other services".
Thunderstorms were expected, with the majority of them set for Saturday evening.
At around midnight on Saturday night, a Met Office spokesman tweeted: "After a generally fine night, most areas saw some #sunshine on Saturday and it became very warm again in the southeast.
"However, showers ï¸, some heavy and thundery, spread north across England and Wales, and patchy rain arrived in the far northwest later."
The warning was in place from 4pm Saturday (April 21) to 3am Sunday (April 22).
Other parts of northern England issued the warning include the majority of Yorkshire and Newcastle-upon Tyne.
