Officers had responded to reports of a BMW driving dangerously along Garstang Road (A6) in Preston yesterday (Sunday, April 26).
Tac Ops officers in an unmarked police car then spotted the BMW driving erratically and at speed along the A6 in Clayton-le-Woods, where a chase began.

Hide AdAfter refusing to pull over for police, the officers pursued the driver through Chorley before the BMW was brought to a stop in West Street Car Park in the town centre.
But after exiting his car, the driver allegedly refused to co-operate with officers and 'violently resisted arrest'.
Officers were forced to fire a taser at the man to subdue him before he could be safely arrested.
The man was then arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and failing to stop for police.
He remains in custody this morning, awaiting interview.
