Six fire engines called to Preston city centre incident

Fire crews were called to an incident in Preston city centre on Saturday.

They received reports of a smell of burning from the top floor of flats above the Turtle Bay restaurant after 1pm.

Six engines were in attendance but the incident is not thought to have been serious. It is not known yet what caused the smell but an extractor fan is thought to have been involved.

They were at the scene until around 2pm.
