Grey skys were filled with colour as hundreds of budding runners turned UCLan Sports Arena into a rainbow for the afternoon.
The third UCLan colour run saw participants young and old run 5k while being showered with brightly coloured powder along the route.
Raising money for children’s charity Cash for Kids, the event attracted more than 500 fundraisers to don their sports shoes.
And with at least £1,000 raised, one of three organisers, Sarah Berry, said it made for a “brilliant” day.
“It was open to everyone and we had school children all the way up to 70-year-olds getting involved,” she said.
“There was dancers, drummers, a DJ and of course plenty of paint!”
UCLan Kung Fu Club’s Lion Dance was one of many of the attractions filling the Tom Benson Way fields on Saturday.
Runners’ entry fees went towards the children’s charity with some collecting sponsorship for their own clubs and causes.
And Sarah says the event’s success means they’re already looking ahead to next year.
“We’ll definitely put something on next year,” she said. “It might be slightly different but this year has shown there’s definitely a market for it and it’s been a great day.”
