A major road in Preston was blocked for around an hour after an ambulance overturned at a roundabout, say fire services.
The ambulance was making its way to a call along Port Way when the incident happened at around 12.30am this morning.
There were no patients in the ambulance at the time of the accident and no paramedics were injured.
Fire crews from Preston were called to assist with righting the overturned vehicle.
A spokesman for the fire service said: "We were called to an incident opposite the Jaguar garage by the docks. An ambulance had overturned - but thankfully it wasn't carrying any passengers and the paramedics weren't injured.
"We assisted the highways team in righting the ambulance using air bags and a Tirfor winch."
The ambulance suffered superficial damage.
