Ranvir said: “Whenever anyone asks me where I’m from, and that can mean they’re asking either about my heritage or accent, my answer is always to proudly say ‘I’m from Lancashire’. It’s a huge part of my identity.

“I’m so pleased to be an ambassador for my home county and to lend my support in getting the word out about how much beauty there is to offer in this special part of the world.”

Rachel said: “Ranvir’s Lancashire roots and her position at the forefront of breaking news on Good Morning Britain makes her an ideal Lancashire Ambassador and we’re delighted she has agreed to support our ambitions to raise the profile of Lancashire.”

The Lancashire Day event showcased award-winning producers, part of a campaign to see the county as a top destination for food lovers.
