The curtains go up on Grimsargh Players’ latest production, the thriller ‘Recipe for Murder’ this week.

By JD Robins, this fast moving and often funny thriller is being staged at The Preston Playhouse, Market Street West for four performances from Wednesday until Saturday, at 7.30pm each night.

David Lawson (Chris Turner) a research scientist, is not a well man. His sister ‘Beatie’ Beatrice Haywood (Marie Gorman) thinks his wife Claire (Theresa Pollard) doesn’t take proper care of him and visiting journalist Kit Kelly (Neil Williams) begins to suspect that Claire may be guilty of more than just negligence....

Claire’s grandmother and first husband died in mysterious circumstances leaving her generous legacies: is it possible that David is the next victim on her list?

Suspicions deepen as the thriller moves to its surprising conclusion.....

Tickets, costing from £7-£9 are available by ringing the Grimsargh Players’ box office on 07790 081536.
