Work colleague Lily Jenkinson, who helped with the event, said: “Losing his own mum to cancer at just age 13 Lee really understands the impact that cancer has on a family.
“Having three children himself he just can’t comprehend what families must go through when their child has been diagnosed with this awful disease.
“Therefore, if families can find the strength to deal with this then he can certainly train and run a marathon.”
Barclays Bank match funded the event, the total donated was £6,036.
As well as the dancing there was a charity auction on the evening with a host of prizes from signed sports memorabilia, executive seating football taickets, to designer jewellery, a dinner, bed and breakfast hotel stay, beauty prizes. golf and photography packages and a gym membership.
