Residents who haven’t had their bins collected in nearly three weeks say they feel “trapped” by ongoing roadworks.
The traffic caused by the work has meant Preston Council’s dustbin wagons haven’t been able to access the road.
And Jonie Little, who lives on the lane, said: “Our deliveries such as Asda have not been able to stop because of the roadworks which means young families like mine are feeling very trapped by it all.”
Arranging an agreement with contractors via Lancashire County Council, which is carrying out the work, has caused the hold up say Preston Council.
A Preston council spokesperson said: “We apologise to residents in the area that arrangements could not be put into place sooner.
“Thanks to an agreement with Lancashire County Council and the contractor the traffic will be stopped for a short time on Thursday morning whilst waste collections take place.”
