Three teenagers were arrested after a car was allegedly broken into in Fulwood, say police.

Police responded to reports of an alleged theft from a blue Mercedes on Longsands Lane at around 11.45pm on May 20.

A 15-year-old boy from Preston has been charged with suspicion of theft and bailed to appear at Preston Police station.

Two other teenagers, a 16-year-old and an 18-year-old boy, were released with no further charge.

A spokesman for Lancashire Police said: "We were called to reports of an alleged car break-in in Fulwood. Three teenagers were later arrested."

A 15-year-old boy is due to answer bail at Preston Police station on June 8.
