Wildlife television presenter helps to celebrate 50th year

Springwatch presenter and wildlife-lover, Chris Packham will help celebrate a Lancashire nature reserves’s 50th birthday.

As part of the anniversary celebrations at RSPB Leighton Moss, Chris will be hosting some very special events and visitors are invited to join in next month.

On Thursday July 3, Chris will be leading a guided walk on the reserve from 2pmuntil 3.30 pm, to showcase the wonderful wildlife and history of the site.

And on the following day, there will be the opportunity to join a guided walk with Chris from 11.30am until 1pm, followed by an exclusive lunch with him between 1pm and 2pm.

There will also be a final guided walk with Chris on Friday from 2.15pm until 3.45pm.

Annabel Rushton, from RSPB Leighton Moss and Morecambe Bay nature reserve, said: “We have been giving nature a home for 50 years at Leighton Moss and are doing lots of things throughout the year to celebrate, but this is set to be one of the highlights.

“It is fantastic to have Chris help us mark our anniversary by showing people the wildlife that makes this place so special. It is a real privilege.”

The guided walks cost £25 per person each and the guided walk and exclusive lunch is priced at £50 per person.
