Go For a Walk

We may be having to keep our distance at the moment but that doesn’t mean we have to lock ourselves away.

Government guidelines suggest that keeping healthy is an important part of the fight against coronavirus - and heading out for a walk is a great way to do just that. Here in Lancashire we are lucky to have some of the finest parks and countryside right on our doorstep, so head outdoors for some fresh air - just keep a sensible distance between yourself and other ramblers.

Online Workout

With gyms closing across the county, you can still keep up your fitness with online workouts. Burn some calories in the comfort of your own home with instructor-led videos, available online at www.nhs.uk/conditions/nhs-fitness-studio.

Drawing

If you’ve plenty of time on your hands why not put them to a creative use? Pick up a pencil and have a go at drawing, sketching or colouring in - it’s known to have calming, therapeutic effects. It could even be the beginning of a new hobby!

Gardening

Spring is on the way so take this opportunity to get the garden straight. From digging a veg patch to planting a window box, all your hard work will be there to enjoy by the summer. And you'll get some fresh air and exercise at the same time!
