She Shanties

All-female shanty group She Shanties will perform at More Music in Morecambe tomorrow night.

She Shanties stand out as an all-female shanty group of twelve, their northern accents adding a charm to the group. Singing unaccompanied, they have an unembellished and clean sound, they let their lyrics stand centre stage and their subjects feel accessible to all.

With songs that are nurtured and emotionally loaded, if you enjoy folk music, this gig is not to be missed.

The Amber List

A Concert of Hope

South Ribble Concert Band play big band, film themes and music from the shows in Hutton Village Hall, tonight from 7.30pm. In aid of the Children of Africa, there will also be a raffle and Fairtrade stall. Tickets are £7.50 including supper, call 01772 612951.

RATS - Robin Hood

Charity Flea Market

Raising money for the upkeep of the many cats in the care of Lancashire Cat Rescue, there will be a Charity Flea Market at Barton Village Hall, this Sunday, 9am-3pm. You’ll find many interesting stalls, a tombola, refreshments and lots of bargains!
