Whether you’re picking pumpkins to be carved in time for Halloween, chopped up for a warming soup on a chilly autumnal day, or just for a fun day out for all of the family, Lancashire has a variety of places to go.

These are the places currently offering pumpkin picking in Lancashire, including information on how to book tickets and Covid-19 safety measures in place.

Croston Pumpkin Patch allows all the family to pick their perfect pumpkin, up until the end of October.

There’s also a maize maze for pumpkin pickers to enjoy, along with further fun for all the family. Pumpkins cost £4 each or three for £11.

The popular Pumpkin Picking Adventure returns once again to Windmill Animal Farm, with each ticket including admission to Windmill Animal Farm and access to the pumpkin patch, where all visitors get to pick their own pumpkin.

One pumpkin per ticket is included, but visitors are welcome to purchase more pumpkins on the day.

However, for the safety and wellbeing of visitors, booking a Halloween Harvest ticket in advance is essential. You can book your on the website.

Roby Mill Pumpkin Patch

Roby Mill attracts visitors to its pumpkin patch each year, and is open once again to allow you to choose your perfect Halloween pumpkin.

There are certain safety measures in place this year, including a one-way system, sanitiser readily available to sanitise wheelbarrows, and a booking system in place to keep a limit on the number of people that are on the site.

To book all you need to do is send Roby Mill a message on their Facebook page, including your name, your preferred date/time, the number of people wanting to visit and a contact number.

Old Holly Farm

Cabus Nook Lane, Garstang, Preston, PR3 1AA

Old Holly Farm has opened their first ever Pumpkin patch this year, but you must book to visit the farm, with three bookable sessions throughout the day.

Tickets will only be available for up to five days in advance, with each ticket including a hot drink or ice cream.

Pumpkin Alley

Pumpkin alley, Delf Lane, Ormskirk, L39 7JJ

Pick your own pumpkins at Pumpkin Alley up until 31 October - just in time for Halloween.

Social distancing measures and sanitiser stations are in place, and although there’s need to book, it’s worth noting that it tends to get busier during the weekend. All giant pumpkins cost £5 each. For more information, visit the Pumpkin Alley website.
