Festival's parade takes on heroic tone

The parade at Leyland Festival took on a heroic look this year.

The festival has the theme of superheroes and many people got into the spirit and dressed up, including three local councillors.

Councillors Caroline Moon, Mike Green and Paul Wharton donned masks and capes for the big parade.

The festival continues all day with a fun fair, children’s workshops, climbing wall, assault course, zorbing, theatre shows, entertainers and dancing.

There is also a car show with over a 100 cars and the popular Paws in the Park dog show.

Entry is free.
